Ruth is a passionate and highly committed educator with nearly two decades of experience helping learners grow in confidence and ability. Before founding One World English UK, her career has taken her across the UK, Ireland and the Middle East, giving her a rich understanding of diverse cultures, learning styles and educational systems. She specialises in curriculum design, adaptive teaching, leadership and mentoring, and brings a thoughtful, student-centred approach to everything she does.

With a strong academic foundation, Ruth holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, aMaster’s degree, and certification in English as a Second Language. She combines this formal expertise with practical classroom experience to create engaging, effective lessons tailored to each learner’s needs.

Ruth is known for building warm, supportive learning environments where students feel motivated to participate and take risks with language. She focuses on real-world communication, clear progress goals and personalised feedback, helping students develop not only accuracy but also confidence and fluency in English.

Outside the classroom, Ruth loves hiking, sea swimming and spending time with her three rescue dogs.
